The beauty of a place is also seen in the people who live there.

History. Culture. Love of art and nature. Defending the landscape, compassion for the territory. An invitation to discover, savour, taste and slow down. The Majestic is not just a great hotel; it also possesses great soul.
Sober and clean, serene and crystalline just like the waters of the lake it faces.
This is the soul of the Grand Hotel Majestic. It is a matter of awareness. It is a matter of openness. Try to imagine: Lago Maggiore, Sardinia, Bhutan. Now let yourselves be transported by the flowing resonance of Gavino Murgia who, right here in one of the hotel’s rooms, played with his trio. It was not just a simple benefit concert, but the starting point of a project to promote traditional Sardinian music in Bhutan and vice versa. It is set to conclude next year during the EXPO with a series of concerts, some of which we hope can take place on the island of Isola Madre.

At the centre of these initiatives is always a vision that is strictly tied to the land, like a type of moral concept, an event to be thoroughly experienced. It is not a coincidence that the Majestic is affiliated with Legambiente, the most important environmental association in Italy. It is not a coincidence that they are part of the Save the Food project, an initiative aimed at reducing food waste. It is not a coincidence that they share the same principles as Slow Food, which at this point has become more than just an association but a movement to change our way of thinking. The focus is put on ‘taking it easy’, in contrast with the concepts of grabbing a bite on the go, exasperated and superficial consumption, the inability to stop and discover the richness of local and traditional delicacies rooted in the area.

The soul of the Majestic is, thus, a deep breath, able to contemplate on and indulge in the beauty of the place where it lingers. It is an invitation to respectable travellers to come discover the wonders of these surroundings, which may include getting out of the car and hopping on a bicycle, or walking on foot towards the magnificent mountains facing the lake. The Majestic is not only a place of great charm, but it is also an optimal starting point for discovering this fascinating region known as Piedmont. Here, Unesco has recently recognised the Langhe as a world heritage site. Also, Turin is a city that has known how to reinvent itself in such an illustrious way. Journeying from town to town or hiking along the water currents towards the mountains, it is easy to chance upon good and beautiful things. Let yourselves be seduced by such beauty: the beneficial effects are guaranteed.
