A NEW KIND OF MEETING

Elegant and sustainable events for forward-looking companies

The Grand Hotel Majestic and Lago Maggiore Green Meeting: an avant-garde combination that allows you to plan events in a charming setting with utmost respect for the environment

It is not just a question of beauty: Lago Maggiore is world-renowned. It is not just a question of location: the historical setting at the Grand Hotel Majestic speaks for itself. It is not just a question of liveability: for years the municipality of Verbania has been highly ranked for its dedication to sustainability.
It is not just a question of opportunities and getaways: protected mountain zones, first-class nature parks, excellent food products and unbeatable gardens make this area one of the most wholesome and attractive in all of Europe. And beyond all of this, there is awareness, culture and a common will on behalf of many tourist operators to offer not only leading services, but also ones that respect the environment, avoid excess waste and efficiently manage resources.

These are the reasons why the Grand Hotel Majestic, which has always been receptive to green movements, as demonstrated by its participation with Legambiente, has joined in this innovative and completely avant-garde project now known as Lago Maggiore Green Meeting.

This project, made up of a network of local businesses in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, has been put into effect via offers aimed at individual clients, businesses, groups and organisations that intend to organise meetings, events and team building experiences motivated to respect the environment thanks to a specific code of conduct.

Based on “best international practices”, this code was presented at the Save the Food conference which was held in Baveno at the beginning of the summer along with the Fondazione Banco Alimentare Onlus (Food Bank Foundation NPO), Last Minute Market and with the support of Federcongressi and Expo 2015.
These guidelines are based on specific and measurable actions set forth to reduce the environmental impact made by providers, organisers and participants, and evaluate every type of activity and service, from management to location and hospitality, catering and transportation, and free time activities and events, including those of marketing and communication.

Thus, planning meetings and events at the Grand Hotel Majestic carries substantial importance because charm, organisation and sustainability are elements that we mix to perfection. Meeting at a luxury location, having five radiant halls at your service characterised by sober elegance and a beautiful view of the lake, equipped with the latest technology such as wi-fi, maxi screens and projectors, and the ability to organise coffee breaks on the stunning panoramic terraces is in itself an exceptional opportunity.
To do it knowing that all the organisational work and hospitality are being performed with sustainable practices using a structured process that reduces the environmental impact undoubtedly adds incredible significance. Every aspect is handled with due diligence: limiting consumption of energy, materials, gas emissions, waste production and use of water are all essential aspects for the hotel.
Environmental awareness and new opportunities for tourism are criteria that have always been at the centre of the hotel’s policies and today, more than ever, we must find new ways to balance them.

Because tourism is and always will be one of the future mechanisms of economic development for the entire country.
This development must be a sign of professionalism, respect for cultural values and environmental sustainability. And, the Grand Hotel Majestic is already a step ahead.
