A dinner-event of the Foundation of La Stampa “Specchio dei Tempi” to rebuild the school Arquata del Tronto after the earthquake

Chefs of undisputed class, a unique setting for an event that comes in a simple formula: 100x100x100. One hundred guests at one hundred euro allocating one hundred percent of the profit to rebuild the school destroyed by the earthquake last August 24 in Arquata del Tronto, this is the formula of a unique evening organized by the Foundation of La Stampa "Specchio dei Tempi".
The event is scheduled for Friday, October 14, the place is the Grand Hotel Majestic in Pallanza. The hosts, Rosanna and Cristina Zuccari, have provided a place where the elegance of the atmosphere goes hand in hand with professional service. In their kitchen, at the helm will alternate a shortlist of chefs capable of making extraordinary menu: a creation of many hands, the result of a magnificent concentration of talent, ideas and quality.

The menu has not been unveiled yet, but the tasks have been assigned. So Danilo Bortolin - at the head of "La Beola", the historic hotel Pallanza, playing at home - will cure the welcome drink. With the entree will compete from Verbania Massimiliano Celeste: the Michelin Star that shines on his restaurant “Il Portale" in Pallanza lit the way to another great culinary reality in La Morra - Piemonte, at the inn "L 'Arborina ". For the first course will take the field Matteo Sormani, he started in the mountain from the upper Val Formazza, where, in Riale, its seasonal inn "Walser Schtuba" demonstrates how the alpine cuisine has so much more to say, inspired by the roots and looking further.
The seconds will pitch for Davide Brovelli. This chef from Varese will bring his catering excellence grown at "The Sun" of Ranco with his family tradition; ant then moved his experience to the new local in Milano "Bugandé" on Naviglio Grande. For the cake will be in charge Marco Sacco, ambassador of Italian cuisine beyond European borders. From his laboratory of taste in Mergozzo, the two-star Michelin "Il Piccolo Lago", he never ceases to nourish the passion that led him to look for new points of contact between the territory and innovation.

The five-course added together will create a coherent set of flavors, enhanced by wines selected by regional vice president of the Italian Association Sommelier Otello Facchini, which will draw on the best wineries high Piedmont to complete with the right wine accompanying a friendly moment supported by the best of reasons and by the contribution of many friends.

Among them Gianluca Zanetta, patron of "La Capuccina" in Cureggio, a special place. He'll knead and bake the bread that will accompany the dishes served during the evening. The social aspect of 100x100x100 is strengthen by the participation of "Banda Biscotti" (literally “The Biscuits Band”), the project of professional training aimed at social inclusion, started from the prisons in Verbania. They will greet guests with a "sweet present”.
